Last weekend was no doubt one of the darkest in our dear country;s history as lives were lost on our soil touching several countries around the world; from the Ibadan express-way gas explosions on Friday morning to the Boko Haram attack in Bauchi and ending with the most devastating of plane crashes in Lagos.

Devastating: A white, noxious cloud rose from the crash site that burned onlookers' eyes, seen here carrying a hose to help firefighters' rescue efforts

Distressing: Smoke pours from the wreckage of the plane after it crashed into the building, killing at least 140

I have visited some the sites to pay my respects and get you pictures and the pain I felt was beyond measure. As we concluded our National mourning yesterday I pray that the souls of all the victims rest in perfect peace. Amen (except the suicide bombers of-course).
